12-29-25   THOUGHTS

Reverence and reviving, priority and focus are in our reading.  God’s WAYS and WORDS are the source for these.  From beginning to end, Psalms 119 says this!   We must delight in the process of drawing nearer to our God!  1Pet 2:2 ESV   “Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation —” 

Ps 119:33-40   Teach me, O LORD, the way of Your statutes, And I shall observe it to the end.  34  Give me understanding, that I may observe Your law And keep it with all my heart.  35   Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, For I delight in it.  36  Incline my heart to Your testimonies And not to dishonest gain. 37 Turn away my eyes from looking at vanity, And revive me in Your ways.  38  Establish Your word to Your servant, As that which produces reverence for You.  39  Turn away my reproach which I dread, For Your ordinances are good. 40  Behold, I long for Your precepts; Revive me through Your righteousness.

Our Prayer:
Father God, please give us understanding that we may follow Your ways in all things.  May we delight in You as we incline our hearts and minds to seek You. Revive us, O God, to a more powerful influence in the lives of our world.  Awaken us to the possibilities and opportunities that greet us each day.  Give us a powerful longing for Your Spirit Words.  Help us to lift up Your great Name and Being in all that we think and do.  In our Savior’s name,   Amen.
